What makes Fayetteville a great coffee city?

Fueled by the nearly round-the-year Fayetteville Farmers’ Market, Fayetteville, Arkansas has a thriving culinary community. And with a population of around 40,000 residents, there’s a healthy enthusiasm for this city’s more than five roasters.

How did Onyx get started?

In 2012, Andrea and Jon Allen were on a mission to roast “a sweet, black cup of coffee.” To do so, things had to get funky. This roaster takes to their lab to experiment with coffee before, during, and after roasting.

What is Onyx’s signature roast style?

Onyx bridges the gap between traditional- and modern-tasting coffees. No matter where they fall on the spectrum, each coffee is roasted just enough to “enhance, not mask” its natural flavor.
