Distinctively sweet, this coffee honey process coffee is produced by the Inga indigenous community in the town of Aponte, Colombia. In the late 14th century this community belonged to the northernmost part of the Inca empire. Geological shifting caused by the fault line where the town rests has caused damage to many of the houses. Specialty coffee production in the area offers some relief by providing a more consistent income for residents.
