Ethiopia Sidamo Gora Kone
Roaster’s Notes
Gora Kone washing station is located near the banks of the Nensebo river and the village of Werka. This station provides income for 700-800 small coffee farms. These farms, at an average size of three hectares, use acacia trees and wanza trees (wanza trees are native to the hill country of Ethiopia, and produce small inedible fruits but create massive shady areas under their canopy) for shade. Gora Kone washing station processes both washed and dry methods and finish both on raised African style beds. This is a wonderful washed process coffee that wowed us on our first tasting, and continues to wow us every time we brew it. Enjoy!
