    Roaster’s Notes
Teferi Alemu built his washing station in 2008 amongst 486 small farms within the Oromia region of the Guji zone in Ethiopia. As cherries begin to ripen in October, farmers and their family begin picking and transporting their cherries to Teferi's washing station where the cherries will be accepted or rejected and sorted for quality. The farms around Oromia are small, also called smallholder or garden farms.
