Karatu

Sweet & Tart

The combination of tart tropical fruit punch notes and baking spice in this lively Kenyan coffee makes us think of a tiki drink. A fancy mug and a cocktail umbrella would not be inappropriate here.

    Roaster’s Notes
The Kenya Karatu is a coffee that year after year outshines most other Kenyan coffees. It has won numerous awards around the globe. It is our third year picking it out of blind tasting hundreds of Kenyan coffees over several days. This is a lush cup that is inundated with pink fruit and sparkling acidity. We taste blood oranges and pink grapefruit. The coffee also exhibits nice tropical aromatics, think papaya.
