Malawi Mzuzu Fair Trade

Sweet & Tart

We're excited to see tasty coffee coming out of Malawi, an African country with excellent coffee growing conditions, but a less established infrastructure than some of its neighbors. This one has an excellent combination of long lasting citrus and interesting herb notes.

    Roaster’s Notes
From the Mzuzu Coffee Planters Cooperative Union, this coffee is vibrant with delicate floral notes and sweet flavors of citrus and stone fruit. Established in 2007, Mzuzu is comprised of six subgroups, with a total of 54 washing stations. Coffee has been grown in Malawi since the 1930s, but distribution had been limited. The co-op united farmers, which helped the membership gain market access and receive higher prices.
