Mchana comes to Novo from Mchana Estate, one of the largest producers in Kenya. The Mchana Estate comprises 640 ha of farms under carefully managed shade canopy. Locally owned, each stage of coffee production is carried out by specialized teams. The coffees are fully washed and then dried in parchment and conditioned in bulk for weeks before milling. This conditioning allows the newly dried coffees time to stabilize their internal moisture before export.
