Pakpak

Funky & Fruity

You’d expect a little bit of earthiness from a Sumatra and there's just a hint of that here. It’s mixed beautifully into a whole bunch of sticky dark fruit notes and a big, enveloping body.

    Roaster’s Notes
This North-Sumatran, caturra stood out on the cupping table as one of the most layered and well-balanced Indonesian coffees. Ex-missionary Samuel Sihombing has been hard at work since 2009 creating the Sidikalang PODA coffee group with 750 smallholders beginning to trust coffee as a successful crop. His work is proving to be exceptional in guiding the farmers to great tasting coffees.
