Sweet & Inviting

Juicy acidity and a super smooth body in the same cup: it's not unheard of but it's not that common either. This coffee is a balanced treat.

Light-Medium roast

Understanding roast levels

Roast level affects both flavor and body. Here's what to expect from each.

Light

Best for: those that prize delicate flavors and a tea-like feel above intensity.

Light-Medium

Best for: those that enjoy juicy acidity and gently caramelized sugars.

Medium

Best for: those that enjoy balance and classic flavors like cocoa and nuts.

Medium-Dark

Best for: those looking for classic coffee flavors with a kiss of roast.

Dark

Best for: those that love intense, smoky flavor and a full body above all else.

Trade Tip

Roasters don’t always agree on roast level — one roaster’s dark might look the same as another’s medium. We taste and assign every coffee our own roast level, so your matches stay consistent no matter who roasted them.

ABOUT THE ROASTER

Steady State

Carlsbad, CA
Since 2015, Steady State Roasting has refused to settle for mediocrity in Southern California. Elliot Reinecke's hospitality-driven Carlsbad roaster gives back to the community that supports it, while embracing the coastal city's outdoor spirit in everything it roasts and serves.
Fun Fact
Steady State’s founder started roasting in a shed behind his rental home, before opening a 200-square-foot café in a shared space with a local glassmaker, woodworker, and potter.
