Philadelphia's ReAnimator has been exploring coffee's complexity since 2011. Owned by Mark Capriotti and Mark Corpus, this roaster embraces seasonality like few others—single-origin offerings cycle through frequently, staying on the menu for only weeks before making way for something new.

ReAnimator began in a row house basement in Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood with a small two kilogram roaster.

    Great daily driver

    Made a sweet chocolate espresso. Was great for v-60 pour over and aeropress as well. May be my new daily driver.

    Not the biggest fan

    I had high hopes for this blend but tasted flat. I did two different grind sizes using my grinder and came out dull doing a v60 pour over. Also did two tries using my espresso machine coming out dull(? not sure what the correct wording should be).

    It probably taste really great but my delivery did come punctured and confident that it was due to heat and air being exposed in the 95-100 degree weather it went through.

    Still giving it a 4/5 stars because I can taste the potential.
