Funky & Fruity

Near the Maasai Mara National Reserve and the Tanzania border, the folks at Mara Coffee Estate take classic Kenyan coffee varieties and take them through a combination anaerobic fermentation and natural drying process. The result has the lime and currant notes we love in Kenyan coffee made even sweeter and brighter joined by tropical fruit flavor that reminds us of ripe mango.

We love tasting something brand new and exciting from an origin we already love. If you like fruity coffees, you will too!

Light roast

Understanding roast levels

Roast level affects both flavor and body. Here's what to expect from each.

Light

Best for: those that prize delicate flavors and a tea-like feel above intensity.

Light-Medium

Best for: those that enjoy juicy acidity and gently caramelized sugars.

Medium

Best for: those that enjoy balance and classic flavors like cocoa and nuts.

Medium-Dark

Best for: those looking for classic coffee flavors with a kiss of roast.

Dark

Best for: those that love intense, smoky flavor and a full body above all else.

Trade Tip

Roasters don’t always agree on roast level — one roaster’s dark might look the same as another’s medium. We taste and assign every coffee our own roast level, so your matches stay consistent no matter who roasted them.
