In the same Nyamasheke region where we find the Kanzu washing station, a few valleys over is Gatare, a washing station founded in 2003. The coffees brought to Gatare for processing are very similar to what we've found in Kanzu when it comes to quality, but the flavors in the cup are extremely unique, even with the close proximity. With Gatare, we're tasting tons of sugary sweetness, manifesting like a fresh snickerdoodle cookie. However, the body is much more like Oolong tea -- aromatic, herbal, creamy. There's a ton of fruit character to balance it all out, with notes of White Grape, Lime, and Cherry.
