WOMEN OWNED KABNGETUNY COOP

Sweet & Tart

This fantastic coffee is about as Kenya-y as Kenyan coffees get with tons of juicy lime acidity, syrupy and sweet notes of blackcurrant, and even a faint hint of savory-but-sweet tomato lingering in the background.

    Roaster’s Notes
An initiative in 2015 enabled women to buy their own coffee plants and become full fledged members of the cooperative. Women have always been a part of Kenya's coffee history, whether they worked 12 hour days for their fathers or their husbands, but it wasn't until recently that they could work for themselves and THEY ARE THRIVING! Their coffee is blowing away expectations and is the highest quality coffee from the cooperative.
