Trade Tip

Roasters don’t always agree on roast level — one roaster’s dark might look the same as another’s medium. We taste and assign every coffee our own roast level, so your matches stay consistent no matter who roasted them.

Envisioned as a place for local creatives to meet and collaborate, Sparrows has always put people first. Roasting came next, when in 2016 Sparrows Coffee introduced its very own specialty line to its welcoming café, which features curated work from community artists.
Fun Fact
Sparrows’ “icon” image is two pods by artist and friend Jeff Kraus, who was once a shop regular. He originally painted them in 2016 as a 30-foot mural on the side of Sparrows’ building.

    too bland for my taste. would prefer a darker bean.

    I have found my last 2 orders of medium/dark roasts more like medium/light. Not sure why, but I have sent in a request (unanswered so far) to change my selection to simple dark roast.
