Bourbon Barrel-Aged

Sweet & Smooth

The fastest-selling coffee we’ve ever featured on this page returns, just in time for Father's Day.

Alma pick up bourbon barrels from their friends at Reformation Brewing just after they’ve been emptied. They then throw in un-roasted coffee from their farm, Finca La Unica, and turn it for 8 days to infuse the coffee with all those delicious whiskey aromas. They then blend that whiskey soaked coffee with some regular beans from the same farm, so that this coffee tastes not just like whiskey (though there is PLENTY of unmistakable whiskey flavor), but also like delicious coffee.

Understanding roast levels

Roast level affects both flavor and body. Here's what to expect from each.

Light

Best for: those that prize delicate flavors and a tea-like feel above intensity.

Light-Medium

Best for: those that enjoy juicy acidity and gently caramelized sugars.

Medium

Best for: those that enjoy balance and classic flavors like cocoa and nuts.

Medium-Dark

Best for: those looking for classic coffee flavors with a kiss of roast.

Dark

Best for: those that love intense, smoky flavor and a full body above all else.

Trade Tip

Roasters don’t always agree on roast level — one roaster’s dark might look the same as another’s medium. We taste and assign every coffee our own roast level, so your matches stay consistent no matter who roasted them.
