Understanding roast levels

Roast level affects both flavor and body. Here's what to expect from each.

Light

Best for: those that prize delicate flavors and a tea-like feel above intensity.

Light-Medium

Best for: those that enjoy juicy acidity and gently caramelized sugars.

Medium

Best for: those that enjoy balance and classic flavors like cocoa and nuts.

Medium-Dark

Best for: those looking for classic coffee flavors with a kiss of roast.

Dark

Best for: those that love intense, smoky flavor and a full body above all else.

Trade Tip

Roasters don’t always agree on roast level — one roaster’s dark might look the same as another’s medium. We taste and assign every coffee our own roast level, so your matches stay consistent no matter who roasted them.

    Amazing

I wait all year for the young producers collab and stock up! For the review claiming it’s an artificial flavor it certainly is not. Sebastián Ramírez is a prestigious and revered coffee producer. His coferment of these beans with red fruits infuses the beans with the flavor of the actual fruit. Flavored coffees are flavored by flavor oils being sprayed onto beans which is FAR from what this coffee is. The aroma and flavor is amazing and does not taste or smell artificial at all. It IS unique and may not be for everyone but it is certainly not artificial nor does it remotely resemble an artificially flavored coffee.

    Artificial fruit

Artificial strawberry flavor dominates and is terrible. Folgers brewed using Kool Aid could get you a close approximation at a lower price-point. Do your research on Colombian infused beans being labelled "co-fermented" and give this one a pass.
