Philadelphia's ReAnimator has been exploring coffee's complexity since 2011. Owned by Mark Capriotti and Mark Corpus, this roaster embraces seasonality like few others—single-origin offerings cycle through frequently, staying on the menu for only weeks before making way for something new.

ReAnimator began in a row house basement in Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood with a small two kilogram roaster.

    Very good coffee.

    I liked the flavor very much and because I use creamer only in my coffee, it really highlighted the flavor of the coffee.

    Oxidized beans

    Oily/sticky, and possibly rancid beans. Almost impossible to dial in espresso grind. Do not recommend! Ended up grinding most of the bag for cold brew sadly in the end.

    Tasty but too oily for my machine

    A really nice dark roast, not as flavorful as some other beans I’ve received. Only thing is that the beans are very oily and it doesn’t agree with my Jura espresso machine.
