What keeps us coming back to coffees from this region? Delicate flavors like jasmine and lemon plus, in the case of this season's lot, milk chocolate.

Light-Medium roast

Understanding roast levels

Roast level affects both flavor and body. Here's what to expect from each.

Light

Best for: those that prize delicate flavors and a tea-like feel above intensity.

Light-Medium

Best for: those that enjoy juicy acidity and gently caramelized sugars.

Medium

Best for: those that enjoy caramelized sugars and a smooth cup.

Medium-Dark

Best for: those looking for classic coffee flavors with a kiss of roast.

Dark

Best for: those that love intense, smoky flavor and a full body above all else.

Trade Tip

Roasters don’t always agree on roast level — one roaster’s dark might look the same as another’s medium. We taste and assign every coffee our own roast level, so your matches stay consistent no matter who roasted them.

This Is Why I Love Ethiopian Coffee

Absolutely loved this coffee. The flavor profile is delicate, bright, and incredibly clean. I brewed it with an AeroPress at a 1:16 ratio using water at 89°C (192°F), and it really brought out the floral and stone-fruit notes. I could clearly pick up the jasmine and apricot, followed by a subtle tea-like character in the finish. The acidity is present but very pleasant and balanced—nothing overpowering.

What I enjoyed most was the clarity of the cup. It’s complex enough to keep you interested but still very easy to drink. Definitely one of those coffees that makes you slow down and pay attention to each sip. I’ll be ordering this one again.

    Very pleasant

Good amount of acidity and clarity. Nothing too forward but just a good cup all around.
