How do Trade coffee subscriptions work?
The Order Process After you place your order, our roasters will roast your coffee according to their individual roasting schedules. Each roaster's schedule is displayed on the coffee's description page. We'll send an email with a tracking link as soon as our roasters begin working on your order. Once roasted, your coffee will be shipped out within 24 hours via USPS Ground Advantage. From there, your coffee will take about 3-5 business days in transit to your home. We work with roasters all over the country. CX Pro Tip: We recommend having at least half a bag of back up coffee when your new order arrives since shipping times can vary depending on where the particular roaster is located.
The Coffees: When you sign up for a subscription, each order will be for a different coffee. If you’ve found one coffee that you want to have reordered each time, please reach out to us to set that up. You'll receive an email 3 or 4 days prior to your next order being placed to confirm the order. If you'd like to make any changes to your order, you can do so up to two days before your next order date. For any last minute changes to your order, please reach out to our Customer Experience Team. We will do our best to make those changes in time for your order!
Frequency: You can set your subscription to place an order every 1, 2, 3, 4, or 6 weeks by going to Manage Subscription once you've signed up. Please note that there is also a 10 day option but all other frequencies are only available in weekly increments.
Subscription Tiers: There are two subscription tiers. Our Premium Tier includes our largest collection of coffees, over 400! This plan is perfect for the adventurous coffee drinker who enjoys a wide variety of roasts, origins, and tasting notes. It is also where most of our lighter and brighter roasts live as well as our Decaf collection. All coffees in the Premium Tier cost a flat rate of $19.95 per bag or $46 for a 2lb bag. Shipping comes free when purchased as part of a prepaid bundle or 2lb subscription. Our Select Tier includes a variety of approachable, easy-to-love coffees. Your “coffee” tasting coffees so to speak! These coffees range in roast level and origin with the vast majority being blends and falling into the medium & dark roast categories. All coffees in the Select Tier cost a flat rate of $15.75 per bag or $38 for a 2lb bag. Shipping comes free when purchased as part of a prepaid bundle or 2lb subscription.
What types of subscriptions does Trade offer?
Prepaid Bundles: Our prepaid subscription bundles are the best way to save on shipping fees for our standard bags of coffee! We offer prepaid bundles of 3, 6, or 12 bags. We’ll still send your coffees one at a time at your desired order frequency so you receive the freshest coffee possible. Plus, you'll never run out of coffee since your bundle will automatically renew after the last prepaid bag is sent out. Of course, you're always welcome to pause or cancel your subscription at any time. Please note that bag size, grind size, and tier level may not be adjusted in a prepaid bundle.
Pay-per-shipment: When you subscribe and choose to pay per shipment, we’ll send you one bag of coffee at the order frequency of your choosing and you’ll be billed as you go. This subscription incurs a shipping fee of $1.95. Our 2lb bags do not incur shipping fees in this subscription! Additionally, you may queue coffees of different sizes and tiers since they bill individually.
Can I pause or cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes! We totally understand needing to pause if you're going out of town or are backed up on coffee. Or any other reason! You can do this by navigating to your queue and adjusting your next order date up to 3 months in the future. If you need a longer pause, please reach out to the Customer Support Team who will be glad to help.
Can I adjust my frequency, quantity and taste settings?
You can change the frequency of your orders at any time by navigating to your Subscription page. Please note that changing your frequency will not automatically change your next order date. If you wish to change your next order date as well, you can do so in your Queue.
If you'd like to adjust the quantity of bags you receive through your subscription orders, please reach out to support@drinktrade.com and we will respond to your request promptly!
You can swap your next coffee with a different coffee in your queue by clicking on "Swap Coffee". You'll have the choice to swap it with a different coffee in your queue or to remove it from your next three orders completely.
If you'd like to swap your next coffee for a specific bag, you can browse your matches at the bottom of the page and click "Add to Queue". Additionally, you can search for a new coffee by using the search bar or by clicking Shop Coffee and applying any desired filters to narrow down your search.
If the Add to Queue button doesn't appear on a particular coffee, it means that coffee is not included in your subscription because of specific bag size, grind options, or subscription tier settings. You can learn more about our subscription tiers right here.
What if I subscribe and I don’t like my first coffee?
You can rate coffee you don't like at any time on the Past Deliveries page. Submitting feedback about your purchase helps us learn more about your preferences to create better recommendations for you. If you'd like a member of our customer support team of former coffee professionals can create a personalized recommendation for you based on your feedback, taste, and brewing preferences. In the rare case you have received a bad batch or unacceptable bag of coffee, don't hesitate to contact us.
